Management trainee - Metro International

Metro, the world's largest international newspaper, seeks future leaders.Successful trainees will quickly progress to take on a senior position in one of our operations in Europe, the Americas or Asia. JOB TITLE Management Trainee to the CEO and senior management PLACEMENT Metro International's office in Stockholm but flexibility to travel with short notice KEY TASKS - Developing Metro: You will work closely together with management on all areas of developing the Metro business including business analysis, implementation of changes and corporate communication - Project Management: You will manage your own projects, often involving creation and evaluation of business plans - Supporting the CEO: Prepare and follow-up on the CEO's meetings and also be involved in the corporate communication from the CEO - Internal reporting: Full responsibility for preparing and improving the quality of internal reporting such as Management Committee reports & Board Meeting reports - Conferences: Organise the corporate Metro conferences CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS - Proven leadership skills, strong analytical ability and a good business sense - High working capacity and flexibility when needed - mobility to be based anywhere in the world - A university degree in economics, business, engineering or journalism - 1-3 years of work experience in a multi-cultural environment - Fluency in English, with multi-lingual capabilities preferred - Knowledge in Microsoft Office package (preferably both on PC and Mac) The reward is a unique experience where you will get high exposure to senior management and the board of directors and which will provide you with excellent training for a future in a top management position.
