As an Manufacturing Liaison Supervisor, you will act as a strong link between customer development programs and dedicated Aptiv plants. Interacting internally with Product Engineering, Manufacturing engineering, Process engineering, PM, Sales, Quality, Purchasing & Logistics.



Your Role
· Support the design of wire harness systems according to Aptiv guidelines and policies to meet customer requirements
· Attend PCR/Drawing review meetings.
· Co-ordinate all open issues from manufacturing engineering for PCR’s and deviations.
· Coach Aptiv and Customer Engineers to more optimized designs by bringing expertise regarding manufacturability and plant process feasibility.
· Drive alternative solutions to reach Lean manufacturing and investments.
· Support prototype and pilot builds at customer plants and give feedback to the Aptiv plants.
· Be involved in engineering change management.
· Run regular meetings between Manufacturing Engineering and Product Engineering to ensure communication and progress where needed.
· Propose and provide feedback to customer and product engineering on design solutions whether those are feasible for wiring manufacturing.
· Support engineering/sales as well as customer with cost estimations and calculations upon request.
· Support in estimating process investment for new business quotes of Volvo projects, taking in consideration customer particularities and specifications.
· Bring knowledge to all Aptiv functions about manufacturing processes.
· Early and advanced plant pre-feasibility in customer investigations.
· Ensure that harness manufacturing process knowledge is available for product engineering on customer sites.
· Request and plan Manufacturing Engineer & Product Engineer travels to the service center to improve communication with product engineering. Ensure the efficiency of the trips with precise planning and follow up.
· Ensure efficient communication on all levels between plants and service centers.
· Establish and further develop good customer relationships.
Your Background
Bachelor Degree/Master's Degree, with 2+ years of harness manufacturing plant experience.
Engineering and industrial knowledge.
Ability to establish connections within plant management teams.
Excellent communication skills and situational awareness.
