Who we are
Volvo Cars and Geely Auto are combining their powertrain operations into a standalone business focused on next-generation hybrid systems and internal combustion engines. To power the sustainable mobility of the future, a variety of energy sources will be needed. We plan to develop advanced, efficient powertrains for Volvo Cars, Geely Auto, Proton, Lotus, LEVC and Lynk & Co, as well as other OEMs. Our high-performance solutions are already trusted all over the world. Today we power hundreds of thousands of vehicles across the globe.
With facilities in China and Sweden, we expect to employ more than 10,000 employees across Manufacturing, R&D, Engineering, IT and other support functions.

What’s in it for you?
There is a Joint Venture to be established between Geely and Volvo Cars Powertrain units.
In this setup we need to build a joint digital platform, find synergies and best practice within the newly established group. We face the need to transform our processes and digital systems to meet the emerging business requirements.

In the Product Creation and Manufacturing Engineering team you will be working with a group of skilled professionals with an agile mindset and with the common goal to create the future PC & ME digital ecosystem for the Powertrain business.

Furthermore, you will build and maintain a network internally and externally for learnings and deliverables. This will require you to cross functionally lead, define, and deliver in the establishment of a world class company with other Digital leaders in an agile fashion working our way through a separation from mother companies and into a new self-sustained reality. Lastly you will actively contribute and role model a culture of transparency, fun, passion, ownership, and willingness for success.

The team is mainly located in Gothenburg (HQ) and Skövde (Plant), Sweden, and we also connected to teams in China. You will report to Head of PC & ME. 


What you’ll do
You will be aligning and driving the creation of a modern and efficient environment to manage the entire Product Lifecycle. Work on architect solutions based on OOTB capabilities and PLM best practices. Create a rich product data model to support all business purposes. You will support the creation of efficient Engineering processes, in addition:

* Contribute to achieve a consistent enterprise architecture.
* Ensure that technical solutions are aligned and supporting the overall roadmap
* Driving and establishing an architecture runway for implementation of technical solutions.
* Keep an up-to-date domain knowledge and proactively propose improvements.
* Identify business opportunities, perform analysis of alternative solution suggestions and support development of business cases for potential development initiatives.



You and your skills
We believe you have BSc, or equivalent experience in a relevant field (significant on the job training can be seen as equivalent). Certified architect or equivalent. You have several years of experience from developing architectures for management of product data. We believe you also have:

* Broad understanding of Teamcenter capabilities and limitations;
* High knowledge in PLM best practices as well as business processes within automotive
* Knowledge of Change Management, BOM, Configuration, BOP, Requirements management, CAD, CAE, SW management, Integrations
* Knowledge in more than one technical platform
