Press & PR Manager Nordic (vik.12-15 mån) till VisitBritain VisitBritain builds the value of tourism by creating world-class destination brands and marketing campaigns and by building partnerships with - and providing insights to - other organisations with a stake in British tourism.For more information please visit www.visitbritain.com. Main responsibilities - Manage PR and maintain strong relations with media and journalists in Sweden and Finland.- Raise public awareness for Britain and its regions as travel destinations on the basis of an elaborate PR strategy and in co-operation with VB's marketing section, as well as all relevant partners.- Raise awareness of VisitBritain, its core services and products and provide a solid basis for further additional (commercial) services.Main tasks - Maintain and implement PR activities and targets outlined in the Media & PR Strategy - Manage the programme of regular press releases and newsletters - Supervise the evaluation program to ensure it is undertaken correctly and copies of the coverage delivered to partners involved promptly.- Ensure that the media databases for all markets are maintained at a very high standard.- Organise and escort individual and group press visits from Sweden and Finland.Proactive negotiation with journalists and media to ensure regional and seasonal spread.- Meet journalists and network at all major events representing Britain and VisitBritain - Maintain strong relations with targeted media, to ensure inclusion of VB corporate messages and campaigns.Undertake proactive visits to editorial offices in order to promote themes and ideas to editors.Priority of broadcast.Act as point of contact for media interviews.- Product development.Provide ideas and insights to VB Nordic's commercial services - Internal Communications - Provide Press & PR input to the Business Planning process as required and contribute to shaping the overall marketing strategy.Qualifications - 3-5 years of press and PR experience, relevant degree in media relations, communications - An established network of tourism Press & PR contacts within Sweden, ideally also in Finland - Writing and editorial skills - Ability to write press releases in Swedish - PR sense and sensitivity - Ability to sell Britain in a persuasive way and to influence press and media coverage - A close knowledge of the Nordic media and its working practices.
