Product Owner Steering Hardware
The ART (Agile Release train) Deceleration&Steering, part of the Solution Vehicle Platform within the unit Engineering&Operations at Volvo Car Group, is now looking for a committed and collaborative colleague. The ART Deceleration&Steering is responsible for the delivery of the complete Brake and Steering system including components like caliper, brake modulation, steering gear etc.

The ART is divided into 3 competence areas.
Steering SW and Controls
Brake SW and Mechatronics and 
Brake and Steering HW
You will be a part of the Brake and Steering HW group

We work in close cooperation with our suppliers, internal customers, and several different car projects. We deliver to new car projects and to current running production.

What’s in it for you?
Working as a Product Owner you will have the possibility to influence the future of our steering system. Together with our Product Manager you will lead and set the road map for your area. You will be a part of a PO community in the ART with 5 other POs and together you will have the possibility to improve and develop the way of working in the ART
This role requires high leadership skills, and you will be encouraged to constantly develop yourself and your team-mates. 

As a Product Owner you will interact with other leaders within as well as outside the ART. You will be the representative for your area and collaborate with stakeholder such as Quality, Manufacturing, Procurement etc. This will give you the opportunity to create a broad network within the company.

What you’ll do
As Product Owner you will be responsible for the short- and long-term strategy for your components. You will set the priorities for your teams with an incremental cadence of 10 weeks and secure the delivery based on quality and legal requirements. 
Your component responsibility will be steering column and Steering Angle Sensor.
You will have two teams to work with:
Steering Column (Wasabi) – consists of 4 employees
Steering Angle Sensor (Haadax) – consists of 4 employees 

Do you fit the profile?
-    You have a technical education, preferably a master’s degree in mechanical engineering and 5 years’ experience in product development. 
-    You have very good knowledge and experience in leadership (preferably as Product Owner)
-    You have proven communication/coaching skills and proven knowledge in SAFe
