production manager to teenage engineering

teenage engineering develops highly acclaimed products for people who love sound, music and design. we are now looking for a production manager to join our team in stockholm.

who are you?

you are an engineer specialized in production and project management. your mission is to ensure a smooth and cost-efficient flow of production operations as well as delivering high quality products to our customers.

we believe that you have been working within production management for more than 3 years and are now looking for a new challenge in a creative work environment. you are used to being the coordinating link between the company and external suppliers during product development and production. you enjoy being responsible for leading projects from start to finish.

as a person you are a results-driven team-player with attention to detail with a strong ability to solve complex problems. you are communicative and can easily take charge and successfully delegate work.

role and responsibilities

as a production manager you will have two main focuses. one is the quality of the end product, which involves keeping track on prototype-related materials, testing, run beta and pilot program in early stage products and samples as well as documenting the whole process. the other is to keep track of lead-times, budget and costs and ensuring deliveries are on time and at the right place.

the role puts emphasis on excellent project management skills with a strong focus on hands-on problem solving and quick action to close tasks. this whilst still having an overview of the ongoing projects, be responsive, plan ahead and continuously identify opportunities for improvement and developing new efficient procedures and cost low activities.

you will be a part of our production team and report to head of supply chain. you will work closely with multiple disciplines including software, mechanical and electrical engineers, finance as well as the industrial design team. you will also interact with our marketing and sales team.

required skills

- a university degree in a technical field, preferably electrical or mechanical engineering or similar
- more than three years of work experience within production and project management
- genuine knowledge of materials and production processes
- industry knowledge and interest for technical products
- understanding of quality standards and health & safety regulation
- outstanding communication abilities
- attention to details
- fluency in english

teenage engineering was founded in 2007. our first product was the OP-1, a portable all-in-one synthesizer used by world famous artists, sound designers and dj's.

other products range from the OD-11, a high-end wireless stereo loudspeaker, the ultra portable and ultra low cost pocket operators, the new op-z, multimedia synthesizer and sequencer workhorse.

we have a multidisciplinary team of software / electrical / mechanical engineers and industrial / textile /lifestyle designers that are developing our products from start to finish. the studio is a fully equipped workshop with state of the art rapid prototyping machines.
