Ensuring the supply of materials and services – at the right cost, quality and technology – is essential for the success of Volvo Car Group. Ultimately, it's all about cooperating with people inside and outside the company to create a superior experience for the people who buy and drive a Volvo.
Indirect Procurement (IDP) is a global organisation with highly skilled and motivated employees located in Sweden, China and USA. We have the responsibility for purchasing of Non-Production Material, Services and IT within Volvo Car Group. Our task is also to provide ongoing support for related projects and vehicle programs. We are responsible for development of supplier collaboration together with internal stakeholders in order to reach Volvo Cars' cost, quality and environmental requirements. Currently we are approximately 100 employees, organized in three sections.

What’s in it for you?
We are now looking to add a Senior Buyer to join the group Services. This group is responsible for services towards R&D, HR, Manufacturing, Finance & Legal.
Responsibilities also includes  consumables and spare parts to our inventories for our manufacturing sites.
Today the group consists of 13 persons that support the organization in the implementation of strategic sourcing results and promotes operational efficiency.
As Senior Buyer you will continuously lead sourcing activities, find business and efficiency opportunities in collaboration with Purchasing managers, senior buyers and stakeholders.
New IT tools such as Power BI and Robotics will further support you in this.
It is your mission to ensure acceptance and implementation of the sourcing strategy.

What you’ll do
You will have close collaboration with many stakeholders, with a focus on Maintenance and Inventory, where you will lead purchasing activities, supplier selection, negotiate and sign agreements according to defined strategies and processes.
You will participate in Global Category Team Consumables & Spareparts.
Development of supplier base with focus on Commodity Management Suppliers.                  
Participate in project for development of new IT tools for sourcing.

You will also
• Together with stakeholder identify key performance indicators, define and take corrective action to improve compliance with contracts
• Review cost reduction opportunities.
• Drive for improved processes.
• Perform the necessary market analysis to support the purchasing activities
• Initiate and implement supplier evaluations and supplier audits.

Do you fit the profile?
You have a Master of Science in Engineering or Economics, and at least 3 years relevant work experience from purchasing, preferably in the R&D area.
You are as a person - Customer focused and relationship oriented.
You enjoy engaging and encouraging people and is a very good communicator.
You handle English fluently, both in speech and writing.
