What we do

At Software and Electronics we are now searching for a Buyer within the area of EDS (Electric Distribution System), a developing and challenging area there you together with a team located globally, (Gothenburg, Charleston, Silicon Valley, Shanghai, and Prague), and other stakeholders such as R&D, Strategy & Business Owners, Manufacturing & Logistics, can shape the future and contribute to a personal, greener and safer mobility.

What will you do

This roll is critical for Volvo Cars and is highly connected to our Objective Key Results such as to create a sustainable and competitive value chain and in this role you are expected to have the overall control of a complex portfolio and simplify it, to collaborate closely with R&D, to work closely with quality measurements, contribute with cost reduction ideas and lead a small but global team!

Do you fit the profile?

To fit in this complex area, we look for a person, which is a true collaborator, courageous and manages complexity!

You
-    have at least 5 years of experience from procurement.
-    have at least 3 years of experience from leading a global procurement team.
-    can demonstrate experience from cost reduction activities.
-    have great negotiation and communication skills.
-    have a strong business acumen.
-    have the ability to handle parallel projects, like challenges and are focused on setting and reaching goals.
-    are motivated and creative in order to find new solutions and opportunities and dare to challenge the status quo.
-    are a strong team player who are honest and with high integrity and actively work with self-development.
-    are proficient in English, both spoken and written.
-    have a commercial or technical degree or equivalent professional experience.
