Ensuring the supply of materials and services - at the right cost, quality and technology is essential for the success of Volvo Car Group. In this role, you will work as a pioneer within the company to improve our ability to go further down in the supply chain in the area of high voltage batteries. We truly believe this is the future in order to get access to the full opportunity on the market, both from supply and cost point of view.
You will be working in a global cross-functional team with buyers, engineering, manufacturing, logistics and others. In this role, you will focus on improving the overall performance and competitiveness in the value chain, including developing new ways of sourcing of the important and sensitive materials inside the batteries, with the target to increase the full value for Volvo Cars – including Sustainability, Quality and Cost.

To succeed in this role, you have an Engineering and/or Business University degree (or equivalent).
You have proven competence in raw material procurement with experience from Steel/Mining industry, including Mining, Raw material, Block chain, Environmental impact, and Responsible sourcing.
You have a minimum of 5 years relevant work experience.
You also have a strong business acumen combined with high integrity and can prioritize your own work and always deliver on time.
Supplier relations are important, where your excellent communication skills, is a great ability.
