As Energy Economics Consultant at Power Consulting you’ll be part of a renowned global team of power system and energy consultants, in which you will develop advisory projects for the main electricity sector agents (such as: distribution and transmission companies, retailers, generators, investment funds, industrial consumers, etc.) helping them to deal with regulatory, economic and electricity market challenges and take advantage of the arising opportunities. You will also get opportunities to contribute to the development of new consultancy products and services, also to participate in the creation of consulting business strategy.

Your responsibilities
Work in an environment of international collaboration within the different Power Consulting units, working on consulting assignments, using established standards, methods and technologies, to develop solutions and resolve issues.
Propose technical and engineering solutions to meet the client needs and actively seek feedback for improvement.
Lead sales activities to win consulting assignments from 50 to 250 hours, to negotiate directly with the client contact person and to build network internally as well as externally for exchange of information.
Provide support and technical advice to colleagues of the global Energy Economics and Sustainability teams.
Support the delivery of complex LCA projects, ensuring robust and credible outcomes in accordance with ISO standards and other methodologies relating to LCAs and carbon footprint.
Complete life cycle analysis modeling for products and processes using LCA software; develop environmental product declarations for products.
Other responsibilities include following work plans, cost estimates, ensuring quality timely implementation within targeted cost and conducting risk and opportunity assessments for consulting assignments.
Propose and initiate actions to mitigate and control risks in one’s area of responsibility.
Contribute to achieve agreed business financial targets for a technology, business area or consulting team.

Your background
Master’s degree in electrical engineering, electrical power systems, sustainability or similar, and experience in the energy sector is required.
Strong knowledge in power systems products, sustainability studies, cost-benefit analysis, energy economics and documentation.
Software knowledge in C Programming, MATLAB, Simulink, GaBi Dfx, Python and Microsoft office pack, specially Excel and VBA.
You have an analytic and solution oriented working style.
You are customer focused and quality oriented.
Experience in developing, adapting and implementing LCA methodology development to complete studies with various degrees of granularity.
Experience with GHG inventories
To successfully take on this position, you need the ability to plan and prioritize, also systemic thinking.
Fluency in English and Swedish, both written and spoken.
