We are now looking for an experienced Senior Electrical Project Engineer or Senior Grid Manager to join the Project Delivery department of our Onshore Wind Business Unit.

In this position you will be responsible for the Electrical Engineering elements within dedicated onshore wind projects with a special focus on the SE market.

You will report directly to the Head of Construction Design. Working within the Construction Design team, you will have a close connection to your colleagues in Project Delivery as well as direct interaction with internal stakeholders, such as Market Development, Project Delivery and Procurement. Building and maintaining a solid network of external specialist consultants to provide support at key stages throughout the development timeline will be vital for the role.

Location: Solna, Stockholm (other Vattenfall locations in Sweden would be considered as well)


Main responsibilities & Work Tasks
Electrical BoP:
• Provide technical and commercial support to project development and construction teams in all electrical BoP related questions
• Ensure the windfarm fulfills regulatory rules and grid codes
• Prepare electrical BoP element of ITTs
• Lead negotiations of electrical volume for turbine and BoP contracts


Grid management:
• Procure and negotiate the grid agreements necessary to connect the projects
• Monitor and manage the grid risk in coordination with the project development managers
• Liaise with Distribution Network Operators and Transmission System Operators

Your Qualifications
• At least a B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Electrical engineering
• More than 5 years of experience in relevant field in wind energy or similar industry
• Strong experience and knowledge of Swedish grid codes and standards
• Strong experience in wind farm electrical BoP design
• Strong experience of procuring and negotiating grid contracts in Sweden
• Ideally, experience in liaising with regulators and contributing to industry consultations
• Experience with entire life cycle of wind farms preferred
• Strong interpersonal skills and a team player
• Support the development of graduate engineers
• Fluent in Swedish and English, both written and spoken
• Independent, self-motivating, solution oriented, contribute to solutions act like a senior – suggest solutions not problems.

You have an interest, willingness and ability to help others and make an effort in delivering solutions.
