Your playfield

As Senior Finance Business Partner for AstraZeneca Sweden Operations and Redwood City (RWC), you provide financial leadership to the supply sites, working as part of the SweOps Finance team to drive strategic direction & improved operational performance.

The Senior Finance Business Partner will lead the annual budget and forecasts processes with colleagues and play an active role in the work of our strategic, long-term plans.



Your role

This role will report to the Regional Head of Finance for Sweden Operations and RWC, with dotted line to the Site Lead of Redwood City. Responsibility includes planning, coordinating and delivering Regional Business Performance Consolidation ​across the business, delivering strategy and decision support​.


You are responsible for putting together and communicating a comprehensive picture. Your analytical ability and great Business Partnering capabilities are crucial, as expectations to drive regional performance.

Within your area of responsibility, you will also be involved in Finance Transformation continuous improvement efforts aimed at streamlining Business Performance processes.


Key Responsibilities:

* Contribute to strategy development for the Region and Business units by providing financial & non-financial input to shape strategies, develop business and operational plans.
* In partnership with the Regional CFO and the Senior Leadership teams at both sites, manage the performance & delivery of our Financial Targets as well as exploring new performance improvement opportunities.
* Together with the onsite finance team, build a phenomenal partnership with the middle office Finance team in Poland and Costa Rica to ensure efficient and highly professional financial support to the sites.



Essential Requirements

* Relevant academic degree.
* Significant post-qualification experience in Finance Function, operating at senior Business Partnering levels with a good track record of senior finance management, strategic leadership & driving performance.
* Excellent communication and presentation skills in English and in Swedish, to deliver key financial messages in a way that is both influential & impactful to finance & non-finance teams.
* Strategic business thinking in combination with rigorous analytical thinking and integrity.
* Delivery focus - must be able to manage competing deadlines & priorities effectively.


Desired Requirements

* Experience of working in collaboration with others to achieve results.
* Experience within manufacturing & complex supply chain/site environments, knowledge of product costing. Preferrably from the Pharmaceutical industry
* Experience with Global Shared Services organization is considered an advantage.
* International experience, either from work abroad or from previous experience with an international company.
