Who we are
The position is within Climate System department, responsible for climate development within Volvo Car Group.
We are currently on the exciting transition journey into Agile way of working, therefore it is important for us to be adoptable on changes and show initiative to bring value and make changes happen.

What you will do
As a member of the HVAC (Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning) team you will contribute with HVAC hardware system engineering competence and be part of all phases of the development prosess. You will together with your team members, Scrum Master and Product Owner plan, prioritize and deliver the team’s scope. 
You will work in close cooperation with the suppliers, testing department and other stakeholders within the company. 
You will implement the best possible solutions without deviations regarding quality assurance and make sure that the suppliers fullfills the requirements based on the high quality standards set by you and the team.
The role is challenging and you will use your skills in project leadership, communication and technical problem solving to drive the development projects forward.
Being a part of the HVAC team will also give you an opportunity to grow within wider specter of expertise.

You and your skills
We believe you have a B.Sc. degree in Mechanical engineering or equivalent with relevant working experience and competence. 
You have a minimum of 5 years of experience of working with HVAC or AC system development and minimum of 10 years of working experience in total.
You have leadership skills and has the ability to lead your tasks without major supervision, and also lead smaller teams connected to your scope.
Beneficial is if you have worked with and has competence to understand requirement and quality expected when developing and integrating Mechanical and electrical components to a car inteface.
You will be a contributor to the system solution discussions, system FMEA, inspections of subsystem design together with System/Architecture designer, hence a person with experience of working with systems is valuable.
Experience from working with suppliers and having an understanding of agile way of working would be beneficial.
You need to be fluent in English, spoken and written, and have a driving license “B”, valid in Sweden to be able to test drive our cars and evaluate our products.
