Senior Product Designer

Karma is a multi-award winning Swedish startup, building smart technology to solve the world’s most stupid problem: food waste.

Helping the world become sustainable should feel good and look good. We have the tech to solve one of the world’s most urgent and unnecessary problems, and we’re looking for a Senior Product Designer to bring our B2B products to the next level.

As a Senior Product Designer at Karma, you will, together with your multi-disciplinary team, ensure that the experience of our products is among the best in the world, by observing and listening to our customers. You will help build lovable products for consumers and food businesses around the world, helping businesses become more sustainable from an environmental as well as an economic perspective.

What you’ll do

To succeed in this position you need to be an innovative designer, a team player, and a skilled communicator. You also have a deep understanding of interaction design and UX.

You will:

- Design products that are used by millions of users and businesses, to create the first Zero Food Waste Generation
- Design and specify user interfaces using participatory and iterative design techniques, including observational studies, customer interviews and usability testing
- Produce user requirements specifications, storyboards, scenarios, flowcharts, design prototypes, and design specifications, and introduce processes to formalize their creation
- Conduct user research and effectively communicate research findings, conceptual ideas, detailed design, and design rationale both verbally and visually
- Work closely with multidisciplinary team members on features and projects. You will be working hands-on with front-end and back-end developers, product owners, and designers on a wide variety of projects. We work in small teams and move fast
- Promote a culture of innovation and teamwork

You have:

- A strong design portfolio demonstrating thoughtful interactions and visuals across web and mobile applications
- Excellent UX and UI skills acquired through 5+ years in-depth experience with product design
- Strong knowledge of effective and inclusive design processes
- Attention to visual details
- An organized, analytical, and dynamic way of working
- A passion for design and people - and an eagerness to collaborate with the rest of the product team
