We, Connectivity & Infotainment team, are looking for a Senior Purchasing segment leader HMI controls and displays (Displays, Instrument Clusters, Top column modules, Switches,..), located in Goteborg (Sweden) or in Lyon (France).
Connectivity and Driver Interface is part of Volvo innovation roadmap, characterized by a dynamic environment, fast moving technologies, and new customers' demands. YOUR CHALLENGES
As a Senior Segment leader HMI / Senior Commodity Buyer, you will be responsible for driving the strategic work for your area globally. This business area is under transformation, where new technologies can provide new business opportunities for our truck brands and our final customers, by impacting directly the truck drivers.


Some key responsibilities and activities will be to:
Lead the global buyer network
Co-ordinate the Segment Business Plans work and drive Segment Business plans implementation
Build the right Suppliers / Partners base for your commodities and ensure their involvement in advanced development activities.
Drive Sourcing activities and supplier selection process for key areas
Guarantees cross-functional interaction between Purchasing and the whole Volvo Group
Represent Purchasing in relevant x-functional fora
Support agreements negotiations and executions with buyers as escalation point.
On limited area with direct supplier responsibilities: drive all relevant activities to deliver on QDCFTSR (*) targets during production phase and after production phase.
Actively contribute to the team development, support your peers, and coaching others.

*QDCFTSR: Quality, Delivery, Cost, Feature, Technology, Sustainability and Risk Management


WHO ARE YOU?

You demonstrate superior communication skills with capacities to influence, you are comfortable in global cross-functional and multi-cultural set-up,
You enjoy working with technology related topics, have strong sourcing skills and very good purchasing process understanding.
You have a Master of Science or Business Administration, you are fluent in english, you have at least 5 year experience in a similar position (within an industrial player, multisite and mulcultural environment), former experience in electronics scopes and automotive are considered as assets
