Production is located in seven countries, with sales concentrated in Scandinavia and the US, Swedish Match t is the largest snus manufacturer in Scandinavia. In the US, Swedish Match is well positioned as the third largest snus and moist snuff company.



The R&D department in Stockholm business is looking for a Senior Scientist in Toxicology. As a Senior Scientist in Toxicology at Swedish Match you will play a key role in providing in depth knowledge and support to the company. You will work with internal and external cross-functional teams in global scientific projects to support scientific activities and strategy within toxicological.



The responsibilities for the Senior Scientist include:



? Design, management and interpretation of toxicological and to some extent clinical studies performed at contract research organizations to support product development and regulatory submissions.



? Support global scientific projects and evaluations.



? Support safety assessments of products and ingredients (US) including, assessment of the scientific literature, exposure assessments, and written documentation.



? Develop technical documents on various scientific, toxicology- and regulatory topics.



? Monitor and address the complex toxicological issues related to the ingredients and materials used in the production of the company’s products (US).



? Writing and reviewing protocols, study documents and reports in collaborations with CROs and for regulatory submission (e.g. SE applications or PMTAs).



? Responsible for multiple projects and must work both independently and in a team environment. Manage work with limited supervision.





Qualifications:

? PhD in Toxicology or related scientific area.



? Experience in conducting human safety assessments of consumer products (e.g., tobacco, cosmetics, household products), medical devices, pharmaceuticals, or chemicals.



? Experience of preparation, compilation, submission and maintenance of regulatory documentation required by international regulatory agencies for toxicology



To be successful as a Senior Scientist in Toxicology at Swedish Match you need to be results-oriented and be confident in your expert knowledge and decision-making in an international and highly scientific and technical environment. You are both organized and collaborative and have excellent communication skills. You work independently, have strong leadership and high level of interpersonal skills.
