Senior Technical Services Specialist

We are looking for a candidate with experience from business/time critical software/systems management and support and an interest in the financial markets. The main responsibility of the Technical Services Specialist is to supply customers with expert advice and to analyze technical problems related to the use of our advanced financial software. From time to time you might also be required to install, upgrade, configure and adapt the software. Although you will handle technical aspects of the product you need to have or develop an understanding of the functionality of the software and the business of customers to be able to handle issues effectively. Initially you will focus on the components that handle connections to electronic exchanges (SWX, Virt-X, Eurex, Xetra, SAX, OM etc.) and online trading on the internet but you will hopefully develop your knowledge to cover more areas of the FRONT ARENA product. You will be working in a team of other Technical Services Specialists, assisting customers on the usage of FRONT ARENA, our world class trading and risk management system. If necessary this work is done in co-operation with Functional Services Specialists and the software developers. The position requires constant learning since the software and markets evolve. Occasionally you will supply customers with on-site assistance which might require some traveling. Qualifications You have a degree in Engineering or Computer Science and/or 2-3 years of experience in the financial industry or a financial software/development environment or from other business critical systems . You are fluent in both spoken and written English, and you have excellent troubleshooting/problem solving and communication skills. Since we are supporting real-time trading and risk management, you need to be stress tolerant and a team player and have a strong customer service focus. You have worked with Microsoft SQL Server. We would like you to have knowledge in one or more of the following areas: . Programming . High Availability solutions such as Clustering . UNIX/Solaris and Sybase . Experience with electronic trading and the financial markets
