Scania is now undergoing a transformation from being a supplier of trucks, buses and engines to a supplier of complete and sustainable transport solutions.

SQ is within Scania Purchasing responsible for Quality Assurance of new and modified parts, as well as securing capable production processes during the life time of a part. We are now recruiting for a new position since our colleague Silvia is taking up a new challenge externally.

Your tasks 

As an SQA you will be responsible of ensuring that our suppliers comply with the high quality expectations of IATF 16949 and other relevant Scania Standards.

You will work closely with Scania R&D department and with our purchasers. You create understanding of the product requirements by involving yourself in the development work, and you ensure that the requirements are correct understood by our suppliers and that their processes are capable to produce accordingly.

You audit supplier production processes as well as take part in problem solving with the suppliers and in internal cross functional teams.

The positions requires genuine technical knowledge and minimum 3 years of professional experience within Aluminium Casting (Metallurgy) and knowledge of Quality Assurance.

Your profile

We look for a candidate who enjoys the varying tasks of the SQA role, has strong commitment, works well both alone and in teams and enjoys a high tempo.

Your main area of competence lies in manufacturing, with focus on quality assurance of manufacturing processes and project planning. To properly read and interpret drawings as well as understanding how to best produce according to given specification, is one of your main areas of expertise.

Since travelling to suppliers is a frequent component of the SQA work, our candidate must be prepared to travel, be fluent in English, both written and spoken and be able to handle multiple simultaneous projects.

An Engineering education is seen as an advantage and a driving license as a must.
