What we offer
You will become a member of an agile development team with great team spirit, the OverTheAir (OTA) team. The team is responsible for both designing and verifying the generic OTA Software Download (SWDL) technologies within Volvo Cars. In this position you will build and maintain a wide personal network with designers within many different system areas of the vehicle, as well as backend systems and customer service departments. As a part of our team, you get access to long term development opportunities in a dynamic and continuously growing field, where you have a strong direct influence on customer satisfaction. The OTA team is part of the agile release train Common Base Technology (CBT), which forms part of the fundament for all electronic control units in the entire electrical system. In our daily work, we are working according to the SAFe framework with 12 weeks program increment.

What you’ll do
You get inspired by our mission to give our customers a better car experience every day. You will use your knowledge within software testing to work with OTA system testing activities in the complete E2E chain, from backend IT systems to car specific installation. It might also be more dedicated data analysis work in systems such as Power BI and other systems. Also test development, updates of test cases & methods, and support of test automation (Python) might be part of daily activities together with the team.

You and your skills
You enjoy learning from others, as well as, sharing your knowledge with your colleagues. You communicate well in English and have a M.Sc. or B.Sc. degree in or equivalent within Electrical, Software Engineering, or similar area of education. You probably have experience within SW testing with test tools such as Wireshark, Canalyzer/CANoe, Android/Linux tools and webservices/protocols.  You might also have experience of data analytics in systems like Power BI, as well as experience of test automation development in Python. Experience in OTA and SWDL area as well as ISTQB certification and Swedish driver license (B) is also good.
