Systems architect/developer

We are currently looking for a senior developer to the Platform team. Our development group is well established with many senior developers, and we are now looking to extend our team. This is a specialized and most stimulating job for software engineers with leading edge architecture and programming languages. The position will work with the core development our service bus and related frameworks. You will be working together with senior members of the Platform team, with shared responsibility for our service bus offering. We value experience of agile development with short iterations, face to face communication and simplicity. The role includes design, development and maintenance of our components, primarily the FRONT ARENA Service Bus (FASB), but you will also be involved with other FRONT ARENA components surrounding the service bus. You should be prepared to travel in order to visit with customers and our colleagues across the globe. Sometimes it may also be required to perform on-site training and development at customer locations. You should at least have 5 years experience of systems development and any type of previous experience of electronic exchange systems or financial systems will prove valuable. Basic understanding of financial products and derivatives is equally useful. The components you will be working with makes up our service oriented architecture (SOA). Thoroughness and willingness to learn are of great importance. You should be familiar with concepts and technologies like Object oriented design, Design Patterns, Agile development, SOA and unit testing. Our main platforms are Windows, Sun Solaris and Linux. The programming languages we use are C++, Java, C# and Python, but we also utilize XML and other domain specific languages.
