Hvitfeldtska Gymnasiet in Gothenburg is one of the first IB-Diploma schools in Sweden and has been offering the programme to students from all over the world since 1989. Today our IB-programme has more than 200 students, and is a vibrant and engaging community within a school of 2000 students and 160 staff. The school is situated in central Gothenburg with proximity to the University of Gothenburg and the City Library, Concert Hall, City Theatre and Art Museum are all within a five minute walk.

ARBETSUPPGIFTER
We are now recruiting a teacher to join the team of English-teachers in the IB programme. Since the vacancy has come with short notice, it can be for a shorter period of time or for the full academic year. If all criteria are met and the cooperation is successful on both ends this can also become a permanent teaching position.

Tasks:
• Teaching English Language and Literature, Literature and Theory of Knowledge in the International Baccalaureate (IB).
• Being the home-room teacher for a group of students in the IB-programme.
• Developing teaching practices in cooperation with the work-team.

KVALIFIKATIONER
Required:
• University degree in English literature or equivalent
• Certified teacher
• English proficiency at native-speaker level
• Long teaching experience
• Experience of ICT as a tool for teaching and learning
• Experience in teaching towards strict assessment criteria, preferably in the International Baccalaureate Diploma programme
• Experience of the TOK-course in the IB

Preferred:
• Trained IB-teacher, (Category 2 workshop or further training)

It is important to be a team player who can demonstrate commitment and cooperative skills for this position. We are looking for someone with the skills and attitude to add to our work-team.
