Volvo Cars and Geely Auto are combining their powertrain operations into a standalone business focused on next-generation hybrid systems and internal combustion engines.
To power the sustainable mobility of the future, a variety of energy sources will be needed. We plan to develop advanced, efficient powertrains for Volvo Cars, Geely Auto, Proton, Lotus, LEVC and Lynk & Co, as well as other OEMs. Our high-performance solutions are already trusted all over the world. Today we power hundreds of thousands of vehicles across the globe. With facilities in China and Sweden, we expect to employ more than 10,000 employees across Manufacturing, R&D, Engineering, IT and other support functions.

What you´ll do
As a Team Manager, you will have the complete employee responsibility including work environment as well as long term technical strategies for the team Architects and Thermal & Fluids.
You will be an agile servant people manager who leads and expand the capabilities of the team in close collaboration with the Scrum masters and Product Owners while holding a strategic outlook on technology, competence and way of working. You will recruit highly skilled individuals in line with identified capability and capacity needs, develop and coach them to their full potential. You ensure the work environment for the teams and do performance reviews and salary setting for your team members.
The architects represent our most senior competence covering the complete scope of the ART, the Thermal & Fluids team develops control strategies and calibrates the oil system as well as thermal models and feedback controllers.
In the management team you should contribute to an innovative culture, improve our ways of working and of course represent your team.
Do you fit the profile?
We believe you have a university degree within engineering or solid experience from automotive development, as well as good knowledge in the area of engine diagnostics. You have a track record of demonstrating people leadership and business acumen. You are fluent in English, both spoken and written.
As a Team Manager you will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, therefore, it is crucial to be good at cross-functional work and networking. You also need to possess great communication skills.
To succeed in the role, you need to have passion for people and for the technology we develop. You also need to be structured and like to continuously improve current working processes. As a person, you are goal and result oriented, with a high level of engagement and a strong enthusiasm.
