Age, Nationality and Language
Due to Canadian laws of immigration you can not be older than 30 years and host a Swedish citizenship. You might also have a citizenship from Andorra, Australia, Belgium, Chile, Costa Rica, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, France, Germany, Greece, Hong Kong, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Korea, Luxembourg, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Portugal, San Marino, Slovakia, Spain, Taiwan and UK.  
 
You would be expected to be able to take at least basic instructions in English. 
 
Working Location, Salary and Overtime
You will be initially based in Vancouver, BC.  There will be opportunities to work within other destinations within Canada.
Salary is dependent on your experience but the typical level for an Entry Level Carpenter is €775 per week. You will be paid for stat days (bank holidays). 
 
You will be taxed under the Canadian tax system. The net pay shown above is the monies you receive after all taxes, pensions, insurance has been deducted.  
 
Overtime is payable after 40 hours and is included in the net pays outlined above.
 
Normal working hours
10 hour days Monday-Friday with 5 hours on a Saturday.
 
Period of contract
Full time permanent work.
 
Probationary period
Three months.
 
Accommodation, Transportation and Food
You will be provided with your own bedroom. The accommodation will be either a one bedroom apartment or 4/5 Bedroom house located close to the project you will be working on.
 
You will be provided with transportation to and from work if required. 
 
No food is provided. This will be your own responsibility.
 
Air ticket
You will be entitled to a return ticket to your home country every three months.
 
Leave and Vacations
You will be entitled to ten days holiday after completion of a three month rotation.  You will receive 4 % vacation pay when you are on vacation.
 
Medical & insurance
You will be expected to secure your own travel insurance. This can be paid for by worker but will be deductible from first pay cheque.
 
After the three month probationary period has elapsed, you will be entered into the company’s medical insurance which provides additional healthcare in Canada.
 
Any other benefits
If you choose not to avail of the flight after three months and chooses to remain in Canada, you will receive a bonus relative to the cost of the flight not taken.
