Volvo Cars commitment in electrification leads us to take the next step in the development of Electric Driveline Technology - Power Electronics.

The Electric Driveline Department is part of the Vehicle Propulsion unit. The department and its’ Electric Drive Agile Release Train (EDHW ART) deliver products with high quality and with a clear ownership within the development teams to our Electric Propulsion Product Stream. The EDHW ART develops El Drives system/components including El Machines and Inverters highly integrated into our Electric Vehicle Architectures.
The Inverter Electronics HW Design team is a new product team, and a central part of the Electric Drive Agile Release Train, in which we build up our engineering ability to design inverter technology.
Volvo Cars has transformed to the Agile Way of Working, applying the Scaled Agile Framework (https://www.scaledagileframework.com).
What you will do
As an Electronics HW System Engineer, you will be a central part of the development team for power electronics hardware for the Electric Driveline. Your focus will be on managing requirements for the design team, including break down and refinement of incoming requirements, review, and documentation of requirements, creating test specifications and managing requirement compliancy and traceability.
Furthermore, work with functional safety including requirements, system safety analysis and documentation.
You will be part of our HW system design team, and you will work closely together with our power electronics HW designers to ensure the team delivery.
We expect you to work proactively and take responsibility in order achieve built in quality.

You have a University degree within Electrical engineering /Power Electronics/systems engineering/Computer Science/Embedded systems.
2-3 years professional industrial experience in electronics HW design / Electronic HV Design is expected.
