Right now, we are looking for a business-savvy and inspiring Vice President and Head of Global Sales to join us at the core of our business. Briefly about the job
This job is about securing our growth, along with developing and implementing sales strategies to gain market share. You execute this strategy in alignment with our overall strategic initiatives and global marketing plans, processes and KPI’s - and you make sure everyone’s onboard!’
This is what you are expected to do
You take responsibility for the results of Sandvik Coromant’s sales activities globally, and you walk the talk as we aim for a more digitally flexible approach when meeting our customers. You set the scene for a great sales organization and secure the competence for continued success. You review and monitor sales performance and refine strategies if required. You also take lead on strategies including pricing, product mix and brand portfolio. You set forecasts, are up to date on business trends, and you work closely with the sales areas’ general managers to evolve our tactics and increase performance in our sales operation models on a global scale with local adaption. All in all, you support us in taking fact-based business decisions and enhancing the full scope of our sales operations.
To wrap it up… You lead, inspire and are accountable for a very large sales team globally. You report to the President of Sandvik Coromant. You are a key player in Sandvik Coromant’s management team and have high exposure to other parts of Sandvik Group.
This is you
With your senior experience in global sales, you are prepared for the challenges of managing this large and global sales organization. You are aware of our products and markets, and you understand, appreciate and learn from other players as well. Your ability to see things in a wider perspective is what differs! You understand how to utilize our resources and new digital ways of working, and you have in your previous assignments successfully influenced co-workers on their way to commit to change. You hold a university degree in Engineering or a commercial field, and you communicate fluently in English, both verbally and in writing.
Your result-oriented drive and strategic abilities ensure success, and you are not afraid to challenge our matrix organization. You can easily communicate and help people explore the vision and strategy as you influence stakeholders and establish a change culture. Collaboration is your top priority, and your many years as a leader in a cross-border sales function has made you an empowering, responsive and inspiring leader that creates commitment wherever you go.
