Visual Designer with the ability to create fantastic digital designs

Our team, Corporate Digital Design, is responsible for the digital design of digital services and touchpoints in Scania. We have created a solid foundation for this with our digital design system and we also have a very good cooperation with our colleagues in other departments. We now need to extend our team with a Visual Designer that will help us continue to develop design in Scania. 



You will create inspiring and pixel perfect digital designs 

Together with the team and designers across the organization, you will put together pixel-perfect digital design elements and create fantastic and inspiring layouts for both the design system and other applications. You will be the main contributor of visual design for the design system and support other teams and designers across Scania. You will get to use your expertise to give input to our digital design system roadmap and continuously improve on Scania's digital design as a whole.  

You will also work closely with the teams’ Digital Design Lead, with Scania’s Brand Manager, and with designers in other departments to build a consistent Brand and Product experience across all touchpoints – from internal applications and machine interfaces to mobile apps and autonomous vehicle control.  

What you will do: 


• Work closely together with our Digital Design Lead and other designers in Scania.  
• Be the main contributor of visual design for the design system.  
• Support other teams in Scania with visual design and layouts.  
• Continuously improve on Scania's digital design through the development of our standards and by being a source of inspiration.  
• Create layout examples that inspire and show the community what is possible.  
• Give input to the Design System roadmap together with our Digital Design Lead and our Product Owner.  
• Drive the continuous development of layouts, patterns, grid systems, typography, colors, and visual expressions. 
• Work closely with our Brand Manager and with our vehicle designers to build a consistent Brand and Product experience across all touchpoints – from internal applications and machine interfaces to mobile apps and autonomous vehicle control.  

 

About you and about us 

As a foundation, you need to be experienced in creating inspirational and pixel-perfect digital layouts and designs. We also think you have been working with design strategies and turning them into actual design. If you are experienced in Figma, motion design and Unreal engine, that would also be very meritorious.  

Personal competencies that are important to have in this position are openness (think in new ways, observe trends in the field), and extraversion (put forward arguments and get listened to and takes initiative in social situations). You also need to have the ability to cooperate well with others and have the ability to lift your gaze from your area of responsibility and work for the common good of Scania.
