What is one of the most fascinating parts of game development if not designing “the brains” of a game? Are you excited to build the logic and structures that turn games into timeless classics that can be played for years? If you want to help Victoria 3 to become even more immersive and realistic, we challenge you to join our adventure and be victorious!
Your Mission
As a Game Designer specializing in AI, you will work closely with programmers and help define the architecture and structure of the AI behavior on Victoria 3 and accumulate various data to improve the player experience. You’ll be organizing overnight game tests to translate the findings into design improvement suggestions. Another part of your responsibilities will be identifying opportunities and issues with the existing AI behavior and helping expand and enhance it using our in-house scripting language. You will write documentation for AI behavior, gameplay features, and mechanics under the direction of the Game Director. In addition to the specialization in AI, you will design, document, and implement gameplay features according to the existing processes and pipelines with the rest of the design team.
The skills we’re searching for…
A strong passion for and interest in Victoria 3 and/or knowledge and experience of other Paradox Development Studio Grand Strategy Games
Sufficient programming / scripting experience to read and understand code and decision trees as well as knowledge of data collection and analysis tools
Ability to work independently with assigned tasks and take responsibility for delivering game design tasks according to the project’s schedule
