We are now looking for a:
Director, Communications Support, Group Trucks Operation

As Director for GTO Communications Support you will be part of the GTO corporate communication team. You will report to the SVP Communications, Group Trucks Operations and assume the responsibility to, manage (short term) and further develop (long term):


-The communication team communications business partner (CBP) towards the Logistics Services within GTO
-The communication team communications business partner (CBP) towards Process & IT within GTO and towards AB Volvo.
-Be the GTO communications interface towards AB Volvos culture communications and training development organization to deal with culture-oriented communications.
-Actively support the Communications department in its day-today-operations, projects and events.

Critical competencies for the position

-A GTO Director Communications is able to demonstrate a clear vision, global mindset and he/she is successful in people development and culture leadership
-He/she can apply the storytelling principles when designing and produce the GTO communication material
-He/she has a clear understanding of business issues and is able to use communication to achieve business objectives. He/she demonstrates strong capacity in building networks and is able to influence others to make things happen
-He/she has strong written and oral communication skills and is comfortable using all modern media-tools. He/she is able to explore best practices, translate and deliver the same and in practical terms write a journalistic text, produce a power point presentation, make an interview for video etc
-With a real talent for cultural integration, and business analyses he/she holds a university degree or a MBA and is able to demonstrate successful international and multi-cultural business experience. As Director Communications he/she needs to have documented experience in communications and senior management
-In a group that values quality, safety, environment, diversity and respect for the individual he/she holds strong personal credibility, integrity and creativity
-Demonstrating a high and solid level in each of the Volvo Group Leadership competencies for the leading business level, he/she will be an inspiring and inclusive leader as well as an active team worker
-He/she has willingness and ability to travel as needed and as all documentation is in English, proficiency in the English language is required
