Description

Product Development Unit Evolved Infrastructure (PDU EI) is a global organization with development centers in Montreal (Canada), Pagani (Italy), Budapest (Hungary), Shanghai (China) and Stockholm. The PDU is part of the DU Core and IMS and is responsible for a broad variety of products within a number of competence areas.

Our Development Center, located in Kista/Stockholm, is developing Middleware products for Component Based Architecture (CBA). Core MW (CMW) is a strategic common component part of CBA which is providing standardized and HW independent interface to its users. CMW is also one of key components in Ericsson efficiency program thanks to inclusion of OpenSAF, supporting HW and SW decoupling.

Our Middleware products bring high service availability and scalability to our customers.

The HA system is written in C/C++ and is implemented in a 1-80 nodes cluster with high demands on service availability and quality.

Core MW has a 3PP called OpenSAF, which is an Open source product. We are a major contributor to the open source community.

We offer work in an Agile/Lean environment, continuously improving and transforming. An important driver for this is our cross functional teams. The teams work with all development phases and covering studies, implementation, documentation, verification and delivery using agile development methods. The teams are responsible for end-to-end product development.

Qualifications

As a good candidate you are flexible, want to make things happen and are keen to learn and improve things constantly. You are interested in people and technology with a clear customer focus. We also expect that you have good knowledge in some of the following areas:

- C/C++
- Python, Perl, Bash scripting
- Linux OS
- Distributed systems/clusters
- Multithreading/multiprocessors
- Documentation skills
- Agile ways of working and continuous integration
- Excellent ability to cooperate in teams
- Trouble-shooting and making things work.
