Description of job:
Electrical Producibility with focus on RF is part of the responsibilities within the department of Production Test Development. The work consists of development and enhancement of test methods. In order to define efficient test methods a Radio Verification engineer working within Electrical Producibility has to build up an understanding of the entities in a product design, HW and SW, very much similar to an integration engineer.
Frequent interaction with Ericsson's design units often leads to travels both within Sweden and to sites e.g. in Beijing, Ottawa or Tallinn. Together with the test implementation engineers (writing in C#) the test methods are implemented and verified. Product and test system related problems and deficiencies are together investigated, addressed and solved.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Electrical Engineering and/or several years of experience with emphasis on RF.
- Very good knowledge from all existing standards eg. GSM, WCDMA and LTE as well as FDD and TDD techniques.
- Modulation techniques and signal processing is important to master. In order to set up a lab environment and to perform measurements and analyze the results it is essential that you are skilled in handling instruments and preparing measurement objects.
- You are used to work independently as well as in teams and have experience in how to trouble shoot HW and SW and have a methodological way of approaching a problem. The work is in most cases driven as projects.
- Good ability to conclude results and explain complex problems in written format using standard office programs is critical in order to make correct decisions. You are comfortable with reading, writing and speaking technical English. Swedish is commonly spoken in every day work why your work will be easier if you understand the language. Making yourself understood in English is on the other hand mandatory.
- You need to have a natural understanding and acceptance for cultural differences since you will be working with engineers from different parts of the world.
