2 laundry assistants/1 cleaner

Buckswood School is looking for two females to work in the laundry and one to work as a cleaner. As a laundry assistant you will be sorting washing (each student has their own laundry bag) using industrial washing/drying machines, ironing and packing
back into laundry bags for collection. With 150 students there is a lot of work. As a cleaner you will be keeping a good hygien standard in the school buildings, the living quarters and the kitchen. No experience necessary. Your English should be good enough to manage basic communications.You should preferably be over 19 years old. (Due to the fact that the older pupils are 18 years old. Buckswood is a boarding school with separate accommodation for boys and girls. Only female accommodation is available for these jobs.)
Pupils at Buckswood come from all over the world and most are boarders. The school works to create a friendly and family-like atmosphere for the pupils. However, staff members must also be aware that there is sometimes a need for staff members to insist on respect from pupils. This is not always easy for young staff members.
You will gain a unique experience and an insight into a school world which is very different from the Swedish school system.
The school is situated just outside Uckfield, halfway between Brighton and London with good access to public transport. The school is unable to refund airfares but you will be met at the airport.
