2 PhD Student Positions in component-based system modelling.

The students will work in the cluster of component based development for embedded systems, where an integrated model framework will be developed, including a generic component model for specification and analysis of functional and non-functional aspects of components, and their compositions into predictable systems.Different aspects of component specifications, composition and architectures will be research topics for the students.Composition theories of different properties (such as real-time properties) and functional compositions of components using different interaction mechanisms will be developed.The theories will be evaluated in industrial settings.

Admittance to the post-graduate education will be handled in conjunction with the employment procedure.In general anyone who has graduated with a Bachelor's or Master's degree with a major in Computer Engineering or Computer Science is eligible as graduate student in Computer Science and Engineering.Students with corresponding qualifications, for instance from similar programs at other universities, may also be admitted.

Required qualifications
For these specific positions the candidates should have a master degree in computer science, software engineering, computer engineering or equivalent degree in education.Competitive experiences or qualifications in relevant areas are positive.Mälardalen University applies positive action, giving priority to a person of under-represented sex (in this case women), when applicants are otherwise equal.
