Description
Wireless Access Networks is a unit at Ericsson Research, with the mission to develop world-leading algorithms, protocols and architecture solutions for current and future wireless access networks. As a researcher you will participate in teams developing new features for LTE (4G), future 5G radio networks and/or short range radio networks, e.g. Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and ZigBee. You will not only invent new features, but also evaluate their performance in radio network simulators and test-beds. You may participate in international standardization in e.g. 3GPP, IEEE, Wi-Fi Alliance and Bluetooth SIG, in the development of solutions targeting competitive Ericsson radio access products, and/or in long-term research projects in collaboration with universities, our customers and our competitors.
The position is based in Stockholm (Kista), Sweden.
Qualifications
We are looking for newly graduated Masters or PhDs possibly with some experience from the wireless communication industry.
You need to be a self-starter who can take initiatives and be a team player at the same time.
You like to work in an environment where you cooperate closely with your team colleagues, together striving to fulfil common targets.
You like to communicate with people and find it easy to explain your findings and knowledge to others.
You have very strong analytical skills and are eager to find innovative solutions to problems.
You should have a sound understanding of digital communications, cellular systems design and strong programming skills.
You have a PhD or MSc degree in Electrical Engineering, Engineering Physics, Computer Science, or similar. Experience of standardization work and/or wireless network system simulations are qualifying merits.
