Ericsson is leading the roll-out of LTE. PDU LTE and Multi Standard RBS, PDU LMR, is responsible for development, release and maintenance of LTE Networks. The PDU is also responsible for the Multi Standard RBS node and will be implementing the layered architecture in the RBS 6000 evolution for Radio Networks. The System LTE RAN part within PDU LMR is responsible for specifying requirements and solutions for the LTE RAN and as well as WCDMA and GSM requirements in RBS 6k G2. We drive the PDU LMR Early phases studies in the Baseband, Traffic, and Mobility areas, this includes early concept evaluations, driving Pre-studies and securing characteristics through involvement in the Product Development and testing phases. The department also contributes in the 3GPP standardization.

You should have a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering, Engineering Physics, Data Communication or equivalent academic degree is required. You should also have experience in at least one of the following areas:

- Embedded systems with real time aspects on both HW and SW
- Algorithm development and signal processing
- Radio traffic functionality
- e2e services e.g. VoLTE, MBMS, Video

- Experience of programming in C++, Java and/or Matlab is beneficial
- You should have a strong theoretical ability and understanding the functionality of mobile networks and Radio Base Stations is required
- Fluency in English - both written and spoken - is essential

In this role, you will need to be a self-starter who can take the initiative and work independently. At the same time you need to be an effective team player and are also expected to lead technical teams. You will need to work to deadlines and to be focused on results. Most importantly, we want someone who is open to learning as well as sharing their findings with others!

The role is located either in Stockholm (Kista) or Linköping
