Job Description:
PDU PLF is developing common infrastructure components within DU Radio for WCDMA and LTE nodes.

Today PDU PLF is deeply involved in many of DU Radios current product strategies. This includes multi-standard RBS6000 base stations, Pico-base stations, RAN transmission nodes and the WCDMA Radio Network Controller.

PDU PLF is responsible for the total life-cycle of its products, from long term strategies to maintenance of the installed base.

This advertisement is for a job position within the Control System part of the infrastructure. Other areas within PDU PLF?s responsibility include IP transport, switching, network synchronization, security and signaling.

Technology areas within PLF Control System include among other things:
- Real-time operating systems, LINUX and OSE.
- Different application execution environments, C/C++, OTP/Erlang, Java and UML.
- Virtualization technologies, KVM, Libvirt, oVirt, OpenStack et c.
- Middleware - High availability support that make applications robust and fault tolerant (5 9's applications).
Software management. System upgrade. Fault management et c.
- Support for trace and debug functionality
- SW development tools. Compilers, build environments, tools for code analyses, profiling et c.
- Operation and Maintenance of systems, Configuration management, Performance management et c.
- Processing hardware including multi-core CPUs and Systems-on-a-chip
- Model driven design and code generation

As a System Developer within PLF Control System you will:
- Be responsible for one or more System Functions within the Control System
- Perform system design in Concept studies, Pre-prestudies and Pre-studies
- Cooperate with cross-functional teams and take the feature product owner, FPO, role
- Work according to Lean and Agile principles including continuous process improvements
- Participate/drive prototyping and predevelopment of new features and technologies
- Have a good cooperation with software and hardware design departments
- Cooperate with other system departments from the applications using our platforms
- Define and follow up function and characteristics requirements in cooperation with the PLF I&V department
- When required, support PLF PLM in customer discussions within your competence area
- Contribute to the Technical Roadmap for PLF Control System

Qualifications:
- A university degree or above in telecommunication, computer science or equivalent
- 3 years experience of telecommunication system management and or system integration
- Good written and spoken English
- Leadership skills in line with Ericsson values
- Deep knowledge and understanding of SW, and HW related SW design
- Deep technical knowledge of areas like Execution platforms, High availability support functionality, trace and debug, real-time operating systems, drivers and micro-processor technologies
- Good technical knowledge of telecom networks
