The purpose of the Technical Manager Test (TMT) role is to lead offering test campaigns including scope definition, risk based priorities and quality statements. Focus is both on short and long term perspective on offerings and solutions.

Main task is to lead offerings (and solution) testing and verification, by taking technical test decisions, performing test analysis and making statements of offering and solution quality. Work should balance risks and product quality with a cost and business perspective.

Typical tasks involve:

- Define offering test scope
- Early estimate cost/efforts
- Decide how to test and test ambition
- Act as a coach for other testers.
- Contribute and participate with test competence in offering/solution analysis and system study work.
