Job Description ------------------------------------------------------------------------ You will join a group developing application software for Client's mobile phones.In this role you will participate in software design and development, software integration and system testing of a variety of mobile phone applications.Working within the differentiation development team which specialises in the incubation and development of new features for Client mobile phones, you will be responsible for understanding the requirements for the product you are working on and be able to convert those into a design specification before implementation.You will be required to develop a good understanding of the features delivered by existing Client mobile phones and how they may be leveraged to deliver new functionality.Once implemented, you will be expected to support the products you have worked on through testing and productisation.The work will also include debugging and fault fixing in existing code in both simulation and target environments.The work will require good analytical, logical and (software) problem solving skills, as well as a keenness to learn new technologies.In general you will be working as part of a small team on each application development and so good inter-personal and communications skills are desirable. Skills and Experience ---------------------------------------------------------------------- 1.More than 2 years experience in software development of applications and GUIs, preferably for mobile phones 2. experience in software development of GUIs is Essential 3.Proficiency in one or more of the C, C++, or Java programming languages.4.Experience in software debugging techniques, software debugging tools and application development environments.5.Understanding of embedded development environments and associated development restrictions.6.Experience of testing software on embedded targets and in the use of basic laboratory equipment is desirable.
