The AB Volvo department Group Accounting is responsible for the closing of Volvo Group's books, producing internal management reports and external financial reports.The department is providing policies and instructions regarding accounting standards and in financial reporting issues.The Group Accounting department works in close cooperation with the Business Areas' and Business Units' financial reporting departments as well as other AB Volvo departments.Due to increased complexity, new standards and new internal control requirements we are now looking for a financial controller to become a trainee within our department.For more information on the Volvo Group, please go to www.volvo.com. Job description There is a wide rage of responsibilities within the department, which have been split between different individuals.In order to stimulate job rotation within the department and also to have a good back up situation to secure a satisfactory level of internal control and we are aiming to employ a trainee whom will be offered an interesting job in a challenging environment with good opportunities to personal development.Your main task will be to support the team members in their work.Initially you will not have a separate area of responsibility of your own.You will be taking an active part in the closing of the books as well as in the preparation of internal and external reports.There will be a development plan for you, where you after some time will get your own area of responsibility.Who you are?You are expected to have a business degree, preferable accounting major, or similar and 1,5 - 2 years of relevant experience, where you have gained experience from financial reporting and group accounting.
