We have a new and exciting opportunity for an experienced Account Manager to join a leading Global supplier of speciality chemicals for the Pulp & Paper industries. You will play a key role in managing major key accounts whilst identifying and developing through these accounts new business growth opportunities. With a strong technical background in chemical engineering, you will have a proven track record of managing at least one multi million Euro account and have a good understanding of the Pulp & Paper Market.
The position is focusing on the European market where many of the main accounts are head quartered.
Main responsibilities
Achieve annual sales results and define opportunities for business growth through your assigned accounts
Establish and build senior-level relationships with key decision makers and buyers
Understand and assess customers’ needs, business objectives, strategies and build customer value propositions representing a portfolio of products
Identify and manage new business development opportunities
Contract negotiation and pricing agreements
Work closely with R&D and other commercial groups to identify and meet the needs of international customers
Be the main point of contact for all customer communications, establishing yourself as a credible and trusted discussion partner
Sales forecasting, reporting, and market analysis
Delivery of the Strategy for the Pulp & Paper Business in EMEA

Qualifications
Relevant Technical Degree in Chemical Engineering
Minimum 5+ years technical sales and account management experience in the Pulp & Paper sector
Technical understanding of Pulp & Paper additives
Experience of working closely with R&D and cross business commercial teams
Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills at all levels
Strong negotiation skills
Strategic thinker, self motivated results driven personality with a ‘Hunter’ approach
Fluent in written and spoken English and an additional European language is an advantage

Reporting into the Regional Sales Manager EMEA you will have excellent relationship building skills, enjoy working autonomously, and have something of a Hunter instinct when it comes to identifying new business opportunities. You will be a self motivated individual with a commercial mindset and someone who enjoys variety in their work.
A strong knowledge of the Pulp & Paper industry and a willingness and flexibility to travel throughout Europe are essential.

This is a permanent position on a full-time basis, reporting to the Regional Sales Manager and based in Stenungsund or Gothenburg, Sweden.

If you proceed in our selection process we invite you to a face-to-face interview that takes about 1,5 hours. There you will meet with the the hiring manager.
