Account Manager Scandinavia (Local home office)
Established in 1983, the company is a leading manufacturer of computer-video interfaces, switchers, distribution amplifiers, computer-video scan converters and high resolution cables. The company's corporate headquarters is located in Anaheim, California, and is the manufacturing site for all products. In 1994 the company expanded its commitment to international customers by opening a European office in Amersfoort, The Netherlands. The European office provides full service to international customers, including sales, technical support, applications engineering, system design and order processing.
Main Tasks :
As part of his duties as Sales Manager, the Employee shall be responsible for all sales-related tasks in respect of the products distributed by the Company within the defined territory.
In this position, the Employee shall report to the European Sales Manager, or any other individual that could be delegated for this function.The Sales Manager will be specifically responsible for managing, organising and developing the Company's dealer network on the territory for which she/he is responsible. She/he proactively develops relationships with the regional dealer base, monitors sales, promotes products, conducts training and reactively supports the needs of the dealers. 50% of the time would be traveling, visiting dealers or/and distributors in designated territory.
The Sales Manager monitors the daily activities of the regional support team, supporting the Sales Support Supervisor on complex customer issues and requests, develops the team members, and creates a positive working environment. He will carry out his duties in close cooperation with the Company's other departments. She/he will see to optimising sales department's operation in terms of administration, accounts, financial issues and information technology (IT) requirements.
The Employee shall continually work on improving his professional expertise, both through his own efforts and by making use of the Company's training and information facilities.
The Employee shall take part in work meetings and in the Company's external events.
Duties and Responsibilities
Monitor Sales figures for regional dealer base
Identify sales opportunities at various dealerships
Identify and asses the solvency and sales potential of the dealerships
Develop product loyalty among the regional dealers
Proactively promote products via on-site dealer training
Schedule and book dealer visit trips
Direct sales and business development to dealers
Support the needs and requests of the dealers
Participate in dealer functions (technology shows, open houses, etc.)
Coordinate and approve special requests from the dealers
Identify key individuals (managers, product specifying individuals, etc) within the dealer ships
Develop strong and lasting business relationships with key individuals in the dealerships
Perform Travel Reports to document info gathered and create sales and support related tasks.
