Accounting Manager Nordic To Forbo Flooring

As a Nordic Accounting Manager you will be responsible for the overall Accounting for the Nordic countries. You will play a key role in the central Finance team as your responsibility is to ensure that the accounting processes run according to the accounting instructions in the group. The role involves monitoring financial transactions, keeping the general ledger updated and making sure that accounting is compliant with current national and international accounting standards, rules and regulations. The position is located in Gothenburg, and you will have a team of 3 direct reports and reports to Nordic Finance Director.

Primary Responsibilities

• Responsible for the oversight of the finance/accounting activities of the region comprised of the parent company, 4 selling companies accounting policies, coordination of systems and procedures, and the preparation of financial statements
• Develop and implement robust processes and workflows to secure we have an efficient and predictable way of working
• Manage the accounting team to support submission of accurate financial statements that are in compliant
• Maintenance and development of the monthly-, quarterly and annual reporting templates
• Ensure financial compliance in the integration of new and redeveloped products, processes and entities by setting documentation and establish a framework for key controls
• Ensure correct VAT & income tax reporting
• Ensure that the monthly closing documentation is complete and performed in the way set out by the group

• Degree in Business Administration/finance
• Proven leadership skills and ability to effectively coordinate across departments
• Minimum five years of experience in accounting
• Good knowledge of IFRS and Swedish accounting principles
• Experience in a similar role with proven leadership skills is an advantage
• Knowledge of reporting systems and ability to create reports and presentations for senior leadership is essential
• Analytical skills including the ability to perform and train others in variance analysis
• Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate at all levels and cross culturally
• Strong problem-solving skills demonstrating the ability to take on new projects
• Fluent in spoken and written English and Swedish
• Advanced user in ERP-tool and reporting systems
