Right now we are looking for an AP Accountant to our client in Gårda. Are you fluent in Swedish and English and have a minimum of 2 years´ experience within Accounts Payable? Do you want to work in a multicultural environment? Then this might be the position for you!

About the role
As part of the Nordic Finance Team the role will work closely with the Nordic Finance members and report to the Nordic Financial Controller.

The main role of the Accounts Payable Accountant is to take responsibility for the AP ledger and be a part of the Finance department. Responsibilities include providing timely and accurate financial reporting as well as ensuring continued compliance with internal controls.

Right now the client is implementing a new system and we are therefore looking for someone who isn´t afraid to take initiatives and that can be flexible. The team are working tightly together and there´s a lot of possibilities for the role to develop further.

This is a consultant assignment with start as soon as possible, that stretches for 6 months initially and with a possibility of extension.

Main tasks
• Overall responsibility for the Accounts payable.
• Processing invoices, ensuring they are compliant with local and regional regulations.
• Preparing supplier payments.
• Assist with the Salary function when required including journal inputting and entering employee payments.
• Assist with Provisions, Discounts and Accruals transactions.
• Assist with Fixed asset register postings and maintenance.
• Assist with Lease accounting.
• Assist with VAT accounting / Intrastat if required.
• Ensure Month End data is accurate, timely and in line with US GAAP.
• Ownership of SOX Controls for Accounts payable processes.
• Other ad-hoc duties as required.

About you
To be the right fit for this role we would like to see that you have at least 2 years of financial experience as well as experience of Accounts Payable. If you have cross-Nordic experience, it´s a big plus. We also expect you to have some level of post-secondary education.

In addition to this, you have:
• Knowledge of accounting systems. Proficient in MS Office suite of programs. Excel experience is mandatory.
• Knowledge of Swedish GAAP and US GAAP is a plus.
• Fluent in Swedish and English, both written and spoken.
• Capable of working with varied accountancy systems, (experience of Oracle and/or ERP system implementation a plus)
• Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
• Self motivated with a high level of initiative.
• Must be prepared to work extended hours on occasion.
