Investissement Québec (IQ) has the mandate to increase foreign investment into Québec in order to contribute to the economic growth of the province.IQ has an opening and is seeking to fill the locally engaged position of Administrative Assistant for IQ at the Embassy of Canada.
SUMMARY OF DUTIES
Under the supervision of the Director of IQ, the Administrative Assistant's role is to assist the Director with all administrative tasks related to the accomplishment of IQ's mandate.
These tasks include planning and organisational services, research and office administration
.Take responsibility for all administrative and organisational tasks related to activities and events planning
.Prepare research analysis and data inquiries that are useful for the development of investment projects
.Handle the financial administration of IQ programs, purchasing and expenses reports
.Establish a good data management system with follow-up of business files, business contact list and agenda
.Prepare, in French or in English, on software programs, reports, letters, etc.
.Welcome visitors at the office and answer incoming telephone calls
.Interpret and translate, when needed, from French to Swedish and from Swedish to French or English
.Perform as required other related administrative tasks
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS
N.B., failure to meet any of the essential requirements eliminates candidates from further consideration in the competition
.Fluent in French, English and Swedish, both written and spoken
.Completion of Secondary school (Gymnasiet) and 2 years of college or several years of experience to compensate
.Minimum of 3 years of working experience in similar positions
.Proficient in computer programs (Microsoft Suite, Internet, Databases, etc.)

SELECTION PROCEDURE
A board will be formed to conduct interviews of qualified applicants and to oversee the administration of appropriate tests.The interview process will start by a written test, followed by interviews with questions designed to evaluate each applicant's knowledge, abilities and personal suitability for the position.Those applicants who qualify for the interview process will be advised of the dates and time by the Canadian Embassy.Short-listed applicants may be asked to submit references.
