In the role as Analysis Engineer, you will be focusing on electro-thermal modelling and simulations supporting NKT’s R&D projects as well as ongoing customer projects. You will be performing finite element analysis in COMSOL to study different types of electro-thermal problems related to high voltage cable systems. An important part of the work is to develop and improve simulations models through a simulation-based testing approach, working in close collaboration with our test labs and comparing simulation results with measurements. 
Technology Simulations is a department specialized in numerical analysis and simulations within the high voltage cable domain. The department consists of a global team of analysis engineers with competences covering electro-thermal analysis, structural analysis, and analysis of offshore installations and dynamic cables.  Technology Simulations functions as a competence center supporting both customer projects and R&D projects at several NKT sites around the world. We are normally involved in all stages of the cable project; from R&D to design, testing, installation and service – making a significant difference!

Your primary tasks will be:
•    Different types of analysis and simulations in COMSOL Multiphysics in support of R&D projects and customer projects
•    Support in planning of test at the high voltage test laboratories
•    Analyzing measurement data from tests and comparing with simulation results 
•    Developing and validating methods and simulation tools 
In your role you will work in close collaboration with the R&D teams, testing laboratories, and Engineering departments.

Additionally, your CV includes;
•    Ph.D. or M.Sc. with specialization in Electrical Engineering, Engineering Physics, Engineering Mathematics or similar
•    Knowledge of finite element method and numerical modeling
•    Good skills in Matlab and/or Python
•    Knowledge and experience from COMSOL is a merit
