Over the course of the past five years we have grown to a business of over 300 Instaboxers united by a single purpose; providing the smoothest shipping experience known to man.Instabox is a tech/logistics scaleup that wants to change the logistics industry. We think it should be easy to shop online and offer our customers a fast and smooth shipping service - all in order to make everyday life easier. We allow our customers to shop from any of our e-commerce partners and pick up their products in one of our conveniently located Instaboxes. We’re fast, both in terms of parcel delivery and when it comes to growing our business.
As we expand our business we find ourselves in need of highly skilled data analyst engineers with a strong focus on the customer and the ability to make data understandable for everyone. But since you are reading this we guess that you already knew that, let's get to the good part…
What you will be doing
Within the Business Intelligence team, you will get the opportunity to shape how Instabox builds its data warehouse which will service everyone in our organization and enable us to make better decisions based on trusted data.
To do this we’ll expect you to:
Design and build data models that support complicated business processes but are agnostic of our ever-changing source systems
Be an expert in data transformation techniques and SQL
Be curious and involve yourself in research on small analytical projects to answer a hypothesis or idea we might have on a new service or market
Demonstrate an appetite to try new approaches, staying up to date with market trends and advances in data platforms
Build your brand and make the most of promoting your great work both internally and externally

The two key parts to this role are ensuring that we can model our raw data to support both KPIs and ad-hoc analysis, but also be able to flip to an analyst and do the more non-routine tasks that could be supporting a new product or service. The mindset of a data engineer combined with the curiosity or a data analyst is the intersection we feel is most crucial and with our Snowflake data warehouse and FiveTran data ingestion, the technical capability will support this.
You will work cross functionally and support other teams such as Network, Customer Services Finance, Tech, Business Development and help ensure our measures and KPIs align across our business processes.
We think you are a person who...
You have a minimum of 4 years’ experience using cloud first data platforms such as Snowflake or Google Big Query
Strong knowledge of SQL
You understand data modelling techniques and their value in delivering end user self service
You have good programming skills coupled with using source control and code review
You’re a passionate self-starter that enjoys taking the initiative to find solutions to obvious and hidden problems and have an interest in data
Be able to use a data visualisation product such as Tableau to communicate your analytical findings
