Are you ready to transform Operational Technology (OT) across Epiroc's production sites? We're embarking on an exciting journey to standardize OT, beginning with our Manufacturing Execution System (MES). As we build our Operational Technology organization, we’re seeking a dedicated Application Manager IT to play a crucial role in assessing current OT setups, identify gaps, and align them with business needs, in cooperation with the cross-functional teams.
Your team
We are on the journey of standardizing Operational Technology (OT) across Epiroc production sites. To begin with, we are focusing on OT setup for the Manufacturing Execution System (MES), a new strategical initiative within Epiroc. With that, we now need to start building the Operational Technology organization, and eventually extend it into other areas within Epiroc. As Application Manager OT, you get the opportunity to collaborate with global teams to drive innovation and growth in a creative and inclusive environment that fosters personal and professional development.
Your mission
Your overall mission as Application Manager IT is to assess the current OT set-up, identify the gaps and standardize aligning to business needs. This role focuses on the intersection of information technology (IT) and operational technology, which involves managing the technology systems and applications used in industrial and operational processes. You will collaborate with business and Epiroc IT to assess the As-Is OT set-up and run the To-Be set-up by involving technical experts. You will also work closely with cross-functional teams to guarantee the stability and reliability of OT applications, bringing people together from across the organization to deliver success. In this role you will work both strategically and operationally and be a part of the MES Solutions team, reporting to the MES Manager. 
Some of the main tasks and responsibilities of this role include:
•    Evaluation, selection, and procurement of needed software and services for reliable OT environment.
•    Ensuring availability and performance of essential OT applications/software.
•    Safeguarding the privacy, security, and compliance in data handling.
•    Staying ahead of tech and industry trends, driving continuous application improvement.
•    Overseeing IT/OT security risks and implement corrective measures.
•    Establishing and documenting ITIL processes for optimum efficiency.
•    Coordinate/validate new versions and proposed upgrades of application software from IT perspective.
•    Coordination between integrated systems, cross-functional teams, IT/OT teams and MES team.

Your profile
To excel in this role, you bring a University Degree covering areas such as Application Maintenance Management and Agile methodologies, or similar knowledge developed through working experience. You should understand Operational Technology and IT components impacting application availability, functionality, user experience, and performance, as well as IT and OT convergence. A strong interest in IT service support, maintenance, pm3, and ITIL principles is crucial. Since you will be collaborating around the globe, you need to have verbal and written fluency in English.
As a person you are open-minded and enjoy taking on new challenges. You are well-structured and have a proactive way of working to find solutions and drive change. Along with your can-do attitude, you manage to get things done and provide excellent service in line with the business needs. You are a team player who is goal orientated and eager to learn along the way. Given the collaborative nature of the role, your interpersonal finesse and communication skills are pivotal. Your analytical acumen and administrative proficiency will be assets you rely on daily.
Location and travel
This position is located in Örebro, Sweden. Occasional travel will be needed.
