East Capital is looking for an Application Manager East Capital is a leading independent asset manager specialising in Eastern European financial markets.The company, founded in 1997, bases its investment strategy on thorough knowledge of the markets, fundamental analysis and frequent company visits by its investment teams.East Capital invests both in public and private equity across the East Capital Universe which spans 30 countries and encompasses more than 400 million people.East Capital is headquartered in Stockholm, with offices in Paris, Tallinn, Moscow, Oslo, Hong Kong, Vienna and Kyiv.The role As an Application Manager at East Capital you will play an important role in the day to day operations as well as in realizing new business through the use of IT.You will be joining an experienced team of IT professionals with whom you will share the responsibility for the delivery of service excellence for a range of core business applications.Main tasks * Represent East Capital interests and requirements in relations with application providers/developers * Power user tasks and responsibilities related with business application for internal users and for application providers/developers * Provide technical input in internal business requirement discussions * Maintain list of, monitor and manage reported problems/developments in cooperation with application providers/developers * Maintain system documentation * Troubleshooting of problems in business systems and/or in their technical environment * Prepare test cases and scenarios, participate in testing and evaluation of new solutions and in acceptance tests * Dimensioning of IT environment needed for business systems * Ensure that the technical designs of the EC web sites are manageable and scalable.Knowledge criteria East Capital is looking for a driven and professional person with a degree in computer science or a business degree with a strong interest in IT.The role requires that you have at least 1-3 years professional experience within the Application Management field or equivalent.Good knowledge in one or more of the following systems/technologies is required; Microsoft SQL Server, SQL Reporting Services, SQL Integration Services and/or Microsoft Biztalk.It is also an advantage if you have experience of complex application upgrades as well as previous experience of front/back office systems in the finance industry.To be successful in this role we believe that you are organized and systematic and have the ability to plan for future events.You are good at prioritizing and we believe that you have a problem solving mindset as well as a communicative approach.Fluency in Swedish and English is a necessity.If you like to work in an international and dynamic environment and if the job description and knowledge criteria match you profile, this is a position for you.
