Application Specialist for General Applications is a role within Collaborative Services Centre of Excellence, responsible for a large portfolio that includes among other tools the Microsoft Office products,
Adobe products, tools used for managing projects, used all over the VCC organisation.

Job description

Responsible for the planning and management of the portfolio and application technology support, including responsibility for the applications agreed functionality and correctness
Responsible for the funding model for the portfolio
Proactively identify and propose areas of improvements to the business, including business analysis and lead of projects and / or management initiatives
Running networks for different functionality when apropriate
Support service levels management and agreements with suppliers
Communicate best practice of the portfolio
Ensure that appropriate security and controls are instituted
Ensures appropriate use of Ford IT / Volvo Cars IT processes, tools and methodologies
Handles use cases towards FordIT and 3:d supplier (such as Microsoft,
Adobe).
Qualifications
Knowledgeable in the Microsoft portfolio, tools used for managing
projects, document management and management of web based content
Good technical understanding of Microsoft Portfolio.
Have understanding of the other areas in the collaboration area, preferable in the document management area and real time and instant
messaging
Ability to make own decisions, but also to stringently follow mandatory procedures where applicable
A true team player able to lead indirectly based on a very good understanding of the business processes.
Good interpersonal skills
Very good communicating skills, including a high level in spoken and written English
Experienced in business analysis, project management and support & maintenance
Drive for result
Preferably a good understanding of Volvo Car organization and operations
University degree in an IT related topic with 7+ years IT experience
