About the job As an Architect you are considered to be a leader who will guide cross functional teams in architecture and design matters and ensure adherence to established processes. You directly collaborate with our business partners on the desired capabilities and fit this into the architecture. Additionally you ensure the architecture aspects are taken care of in procurement activities.

We want to be that financial platform for our customers where strengths of Commerce, Daily Banking, Consumer Payments and more, are combined. Part of your role will also be collaborating with small, autonomous teams of developers, designers, and product owners to find end-to-end solutions to important problems.

Your responsibilities will include:

Participate in planning of Digital Banking development activities, identify required architecture work
Create or participate in the creation of architectural descriptions or other architecture related artefacts
Communicate Swedbank Target Architecture and Business Domain Architecture to relevant stakeholders within Business Area /Group Function
Participate in creation of Swedbank's continuously evolving Target Architecture


What you need to succeed Academic degree in engineering, computer science or any other relevant discipline. You have 8+ years of industry experience in software development, including previous experience as an architect. You have 3+ years of experience as a lead engineer. Furthermore we like to see that you have experience in models, methods and tools used within architecture work.

As a person you are structured and can prioritize; you are a strong leader with good decision making skills. You set goals and achieves them by thinking out of the box. You have excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work well with all levels of engineers and managers.

Proficient in English, spoken and written.
