As an Architect/Tech Lead you will join the digitization journey at Volvo Group and actively contribute to shaping the next generation customer experience in the retail area.


You will be joining a focused team that work together, solve problems and tackle problems head on. There are no problems that can’t be solved.


Do you want to use your experience in complex legacy IT landscapes to transform our retail area to the next level with new technologies?


Responsibilities:
Quickly consume and understand complex IT landscapes
Drives and develop PoCs, ideation and technical spikes hands-on
Interact and work with dev teams to get the community in the same direction
Ensures SOLID principles and standard design patterns
Work with software requirements and help estimate epics, features and stories



Required Qualifications:
5+ years’ experience of architecture
10+ years’ experience of programming
Extensive experience from the IBM i/iSeries, RPG and DB2 landscape as a programmer
Knowledge of design patterns, OO programming and SOLID principles - UML, HTTP, MVC, APIs, data structures and algorithms
Knowledge and significant experience with development technologies like RPG, Java, SQL
Understand test automation, mocking, monitoring, load testing towards APIs and backends
Understanding of the architectural styles such as MSA, SOA, REST, Layered Architecture, Monolithic Architecture
Relational DB knowledge - DB2, SQL, JDBC. Good to have: DBA skills with indexing and tuning
Relevant university degree
